Biography
Ari Yabumoto (Japanese: 籔本亜里) is a Japanese cultural researcher, writer, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in international journalism, business consulting, and cross-cultural initiatives.
Education:
Born in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan.
Graduated from Rikkyo University, majoring in French Literature.
Earned a Master’s degree from the California School of Professional Psychology.
Career Highlights:
Inspired by a personal essay on the first Asia Film Festival in Japan, was selected by the Japan Foundation for a cultural exchange program in Sri Lanka.
Began a career as an editor, later specializing in cultural journalism, conducting international research, and contributing articles to newspapers and magazines on global cultural affairs.
2001: Founded Finance Clinic, establishing a consultation office in collaboration with legal and medical professionals.
2002–2008: Conducted a long-term column series in Asahi Shimbun be Business, where she collaborated with lawyers to address and solve various social issues.
2006: Featured in a Taiwanese business newspaper as one of Japan’s “Top 5 New Business Ventures.”
2007: Interviewed by ZDF, Germany’s national television, and gained attention at the World Aging & Generations Congress in Switzerland.
Discovered dialogue-based approaches originating from Scandinavia and has since worked to integrate well-being, art, and community-building into various cultural and social initiatives.
