About artists

Aki Ono
Aki Ono is a vocalist from Osaka, Japan, known for her deep artistic and humanitarian connection to Ukraine. Since first visiting Ukraine in 2012, she has performed Ukrainian songs at festivals, universities, and cultural events across Japan and Ukraine. Together with her husband, she actively supports Ukraine through charity concerts, radio programs, and humanitarian missions. Aki has released multiple albums dedicated to Ukrainian folk and contemporary music, including 2.24 5 a.m., commemorating the resilience of the Ukrainian people. Her music bridges cultures, bringing Ukrainian voices and stories to audiences in Japan and beyond.

Halyna Pustovit
A classically trained Ukrainian singer-pianist currently based in Kansai, Japan. A graduate of a Ukrainian music academy, she has performed with symphony orchestras and at numerous diplomatic and cultural events. In Kansai, Halyna continues to share her artistry through solo performances and collaborative concerts, often blending Ukrainian and Japanese musical traditions. She is also known for her community presence—living in a traditional Japanese home with her cats, and engaging with local and expat audiences. Halyna’s heartfelt music fosters cultural exchange and strengthens the bond between Ukraine and Japan.

Viktoriia Kostiuchenko & Bogdan Chabaniuk
Ukrainian ballet artists based in Kansai, Japan.
Viktoriia is a graduate of the Odessa Ballet School and Odessa State School of Culture and Arts, and a former member of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she performed in classics such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, and Giselle.
Together with her husband, ballet dancer and choreographer Bogdan Chabaniuk, they leads Just Dance ballet studio in Kobe, offering ballet, stretching, and social dance classes.
Through their artistry and teaching, they promote Ukrainian ballet culture and foster cultural exchange in Japan.
