March 23 Birthday of Aonishiki (Danylo Avgustishyn)

23/03/26, 03:00

Dear Aonishiki-seki, Happy Birthday!

Your work in sumo reflects daily effort, discipline, and strong inner composure. With each step on the dohyo, it is clear how you continue to grow stronger not only physically, but inwardly as well. This is truly inspiring.

Through your journey in sumo, you bring Japanese and Ukrainian cultures closer without words, through respect and dedication. This is deeply felt, and we thank you for it.

We wish you strong health, strength of spirit, calmness in your heart, and clarity of mind as foundations that support you in moving forward with confidence. May they lead you to the heights you have chosen.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to your mentor, Ajigawa-oyakata (安治川親方), as well as to the entire stable, for their support and daily dedication.

The team of Ukraine House Japan sincerely wishes you continued growth, inner strength, and harmony.
As a token of our warm wishes, we have prepared traditional Ukrainian walnut-shaped cookies  "horishky" to bring a familiar taste of childhood to this day. We hope this small gift brings warmth and adds a touch of joy to your day.
