Pysanka Writing Workshop at FAM – A Heartwarming Spring Moment

24/04/25, 03:00

On April 19, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum hosted a deeply moving pysanka workshop that brought tradition, creativity, and connection to life.

We gathered at the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum https://www.fujibi.or.jp/en/ to celebrate spring through a meaningful pysanka (Ukrainian Easter egg) writing workshop led by Tetyana Solotska.
Participants of all ages and backgrounds came together to learn about traditional wax-resist techniques, explore the symbolism behind each pattern, and express their individuality through vibrant designs.
It was more than an artistic session — it was a time to connect with Ukrainian heritage, nature, and the spirit of renewal.
The pysanka is not merely decoration; it is a sacred symbol that carries prayers and binds generations.

We invite you to view photos that capture the warmth, color, joy, and quiet beauty of this unforgettable day.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who joined us.
We look forward to seeing you again at future workshops!
