On October 5, world-class Ukrainian musicians and ballet dancers will gather to deliver a truly moving performance at the 2nd Japan–Ukraine International Art Festival.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizer, the Japan–Ukraine Art Association (Representative Chie Sawada), for her constant support of Ukraine House Japan and for the strong bonds of cooperation that make this event possible.

Reading from the “Diary” of Marie Bashkirtseff, a Ukrainian-born female painter active in Paris in the late 19th century

Pianist: Denys Yavorskyi (his 4th visit to Japan)
Liszt Transcendental Étude “Storm”, Poulenc Violin Sonata (with a message of resistance to violence), Ravel Tzigane, and moreSaxophonist: Kenta Igarashi (collaboration with a New York–based Ukrainian jazz drummer through video)
Ballet: Two pas de deux performed by principal dancers from leading ballet companies in Kyiv and the United States
