Yesterday, the 2nd Japan–Ukraine International Art Festival was held under the direction of Ms. Chie Sawada, a professional violinist.
Ukraine House Japan assisted with advertisement and presented a small historical poster exposition, featuring works created by Ukrainian students of Akita University in 2022. The students kindly granted us rights to use these materials for occasions where we introduce Ukrainian culture and history to Japanese audiences. We continue to display them with gratitude whenever there is an opportunity — and this concert was one of such meaningful moments.
Photography inside the hall was restricted, but we were allowed to take a few pictures of the tapestries and the flower arrangement created by UHJ’s florist, Ms. Olena Ivanova — a gift to Ms. Sawada in celebration of her concert.
We are grateful to Ms. Sawada and all participants for creating an opportunity for the Japanese audience to learn a little more about Ukraine.
